Eduardo Chávez, the grandson of renowned civil rights leader César Chávez and Cuban revolutionary Max Lesnik, upholds the legacy of two influential families dedicated to activism and social justice. His deep-rooted commitment to political activism influenced his feature documentary, Hailing Cesar, released April 2018. Since its debut, Eduardo has screened the film and spoken at over 90 universities across three countries.Eduardo is also the co-founder of Latindia Studios and creator and host of We Are Latinx, a podcast that explores the intersection of Latinx culture with the work and identity of its guests. His debut children’s book, Mi Abuelo Cesar, is set to be released in 2025.
Eduardo has delivered inspiring talks at over 100 colleges and high schools across America since 2018. His work highlights the vital contributions of farmworker communities, immigrants, and other underrepresented groups, fostering awareness and appreciation for their impact.
