In this Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Ayad Akhtar (Homeland Elegies), we find ourselves immersed in the New York City life of Amir and Emily, a couple whose seemingly charmed existence is a compelling facade for the complexities beneath. Disgraced delves into the intricacies of personal and cultural identity, navigating the tensions that arise when these facets collide and fosters a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding diversity, religion, and self-discovery.
